Bryony's close friend Hattie has come from England for a few weeks holiday. Bryony has enjoyed showing Hattie her homeland, and they have been to Sovereign Hill, the National Gallery of Victoria, Puffing Billy and 5 days in Sydney.
Last weekend Susan and I took them to Phillip Island to see the Penguin Parade. The penguins come onto the beach at dusk, so after booking we had a day enjoying Phillip Island. We started at A Maze'N Things. The attraction has a simple idea - a collection of optical illusions and mazes - and this makes for unexpected fun.
After a fish-and-chip lunch in the sun by the sea, we passed the afternoon with a gentle coast walk.
To finish the day, Bryony, Hattie and Will went off to the parade. We picked them up, had dinner and drove back to Melbourne.
