Last Wednesday Susan started her temporary post as a primary school German teacher. She has two terms of work covering for the full-time teacher away on maternity leave. At first she was nervous about teaching a language she doesn't speak fluently to 500 plus children. Then she realised that she has a good accent and enough German to handle the typical second-language standard at Victorian primary schools.
Also she has a job as a primary school teacher, and that gets her into the classroom and the experience necessary for the next job.
